Al igual que en otros lugares de Am\u00e9rica Latina, la actual brecha digital en M\u00e9xico es un reflejo de la omnipresente desigualdad econ\u00f3mica del pa\u00eds: s\u00f3lo 2 de cada 10 miembros de la franja de ingresos m\u00e1s baja tienen acceso a Internet fiable<\/strong><\/a>, lo que dificulta la educaci\u00f3n en l\u00ednea para m\u00e1s de la mitad de la poblaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

Las poblaciones marginadas en M\u00e9xico se han quedado significativamente atr\u00e1s en la digitalizaci\u00f3n, una realidad que s\u00f3lo se ha hecho m\u00e1s grave en el contexto de la pandemia en curso.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan el INEGI, los estudiantes de secundaria de las zonas rurales obtuvieron los peores resultados<\/strong><\/a> en las evaluaciones generales en 2019. El cierre de escuelas debido a la pandemia de Covid-19 no hace m\u00e1s que aumentar esta brecha educativa, <\/strong>ya que casi la mitad de los estudiantes no tienen acceso<\/strong> a un ordenador, una tableta o un tel\u00e9fono inteligente con acceso a Internet para continuar con su educaci\u00f3n.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
